when i metcha in the summer

sooo craziest thing ever. all my friends are on missions right? and remember how i was totally dreading this summer because i thought it would be super boring? haaaa funny story. this summer has easily been my favorite summer and it's all because of the new friends i've made. they're the kind of friends that are down for anything and love to go on crazy adventures. they're some of the nicest people and it's nothing but a good time with them. from boating to hiking to the top of mountains or sliding down huge spillways on tubes...we've had an awesome summer. 

ahh i cant even explain how much i love these people. 

but along with the new friends there is also the old friends. my girl mikun, who i cheered with in high school, got married a few weeks ago and it was so fun seeing all the cheer girls again and dancing the night away.

such a killer summer.

because my mom is from oregon, my brother patrick went to college in oregon, and now lives just outside of portland, visiting oregon is a very frequent thing for my family. the first week of july just my dad and i hopped in the mustang and drove to visit pat and molly in newberg! we stayed the whole week and had so much fun spending the 4th of july with them! 

I've never been to the infamous VOODOO Doughnuts so we made a special trip to experience the crazy doughnuts

july already?

it's hard for me to believe it's already july, but i'm so excited...and for a few reasons

1) july is my birthday month

2) july contains my 4th favorite holiday (;

3) july is next to august, which means....MISSION

june was full of mini vacations along with adventures with my favorite people. not to mention loud music, jeep rides, diving into freezing water, ahhmazing views, shooting through tubes, befriending 14 year olds, hair in our faces, and making memories that we'll always look back on and smile. 

and as i told my friend desi, i want a summer to remember, not a summer to wonder what the heck i did the whole time.

so here's to the rest of summer and here's to the memories made so far. . .
